It takes maybe a half an hour, since Finn keeps having to look at the book and even needs to redo the knots a few times. But he gets the hang of it and he's satisfied with the knots at Jonathan's arms and legs.

Finn strokes Jonathan's scalp and smiles down at him. "Let's do this," He kisses Jonathan once, then stands erect, looking down at his lover and getting into character.
