They do have some similarities in their pasts. And honestly, Jonathan feels like what Finn did was certainly admirable, and he knew he did the right thing. It's just nice to know Finn can understand it.
"Yeah," he agrees. "I'd like that. We definitely should do that."
And he feels giddy at the suggestion. He likes Finn, a lot. And he likes the idea of being able to be close to someone in a place where he didn't have to worry about things like the invasion.
Finn honestly feels like he and Jonathan are kindred spirits, now that he knows Jonathan's dark little secret and the other man knows that Finn's not going to condemn him for it.
He breaks out in a wide grin, both relieved and elated.
"You don't know how happy that makes me." Another jalapeno popper, and then he bends his finger in the 'come here a minute' gesture. Might not be the best idea to kiss someone after eating jalapenos, but he's not thinking about that.
Jonathan grins, eagerly moving closer to Finn. He's also not thinking about whether it's a good idea to kiss after eating jalapenos, but hey...he likes them too.
Finn waits until Jonathan's close enough before cupping his cheek in one hand and leaning in to press their lips together. He keeps it chaste for now, so any spicy breath is kept to a minimum. But all Finn can think about is how he honestly missed those scaly lips on his own.
"That sounds like a plan," Jonathan says, grinning and sliding a hand up Finn's back. "But we might want to drink some milk between now and then. Just to be sure all the spiciness is gone."
Sure, they're talking about later that night so it will probably be gone regardless, but one can never be too careful when it comes to making sure nothing spicy touches certain parts.
"Good point. Talk about a mood-killer." The back of Finn's knuckles touche Jonathan's cheek, using the hand that wasn't touching jalapenos, lest Jonathan get a nose-full of pepper smell.
"Thanks," he says, smiling and leaning in close, one scaled finger running along Finn's jawline and tracing it's way up to the tip of his ear. "You're not so bad yourself."
Finn leans into the touch, his eyes half-closing when Jonathan's finger brushes his ear, the finer scales on his hands adding that extra little layer to the caress.
He melts into the kiss, exchanging hints of spice breath again.
Jonathan enjoys the kiss (and the taste of the jalapeno poppers), lingering on it for a few seconds more before he finally pulls away. Then, smiling, he reaches over to the tray, grabbing one of the poppers and taking a bite.

It's kind of nice.
He slides an arm around Finn as he stays close to him, even after the kiss.
"Happy Valentine's day."

Finn leans in for another literally spicy kiss, his heart now filled with warmth.

"What's say later tonight, you and I go to one of our rooms and get horizontal?"

"We should do this kind of thing more often."
