Yeah, I saw you, too. Finn got the scarab off me. It helped that my blood had eaten most of the way through it by that point, though, so the connection was getting a bit spotty, and I think it would have fallen off on it's own.

What about you? It sounds like you got a bit more beaten up than me. Although...it could just be that there's not much point in holing me up in a hospital. No one there would know how to treat me, anyway. I'm better off just wrapping my torso up in cellophane and waiting for the bleeding to stop.

Oh, no. It's not actively bleeding now, it's scabbed over, but it keeps itching, and whenever I scratch it I start bleeding again.

Relax. I'm fine. I'm healing fine, and I don't want to worry Archie. It really seems to stress him out when I get hurt. I've never met Sabriel, though. Is she a healer, too?

Yeah, sure, I could do that. But what about you? It sounds like you're waiting to heal naturally, yourself. Why don't you just call a healer?

It... [er.] It's different. I'm...not sure I can explain it in a way that makes sense, but...this is something I have to do without shortcuts.

Well...can you try? Because I'm really not getting why you'd be so worried about me healing naturally when I'm pretty sure you were hurt worse.

It's because...I killed that man. The Negotiator. And I just think that...the weight of that needs to be felt fully. Without shortcuts. To accept the consequences so I understand the cost.

Considering what he did, he definitely deserved it. You shouldn't feel bad about that, I've done a lot worse than you.

No...Lucina, look. I get that sometimes the villain repents. Obviously. I mean, there's me. And you shouldn't go around killing all willy nilly. But he was actively attacking the moon and stealing people's free will, your actions were justified.

You killed someone while fighting to make all the mind control stop. You did what was necessary, it wasn't that bad.

[she makes a soft, unhappy sound, then falls quiet for a beat.]

But...what if I...what if I didn't do it for the right reasons. What if it wasn't about justice? What if I was just--just scared and angry. That's...that's not right. That's not justice, is it?

That's still justice. Those feelings come with meting out justice all the time. That's how I felt when I killed the guy who killed Ozzie, and that was definitely justice.
