Meteor? What meteor?

Of the drone?

Just a random meteor. The way the debris sprayed from the meteor, we ended up with a bunch of obstacles to maneuver around.

Yeah, of the drone.

Was the meteor in any risk of collision with you, the drone, Earth or Moon?

[drivesadesk]

Nope. The debris was when it fired, but it wasn't on a collision course before that.

[ghoulking]

So the drone fired on a meteor that was just passing by - instead of firing against you directly?

[ that... sounds very much like it wanted to see how they'd react and how capable they were of fighting it ]

You destroyed the drone, correct? How? Did the Big Brother spaceship have weapons against it?

[drivesadesk]

Yeah.

Our ship didn't have any weapons. Odin and Riptide went outside and fought it like that.

[ghoulking]

[ no weapons, so it can't be they were expecting this. it sounds too serious to be just another assignment for the show, specially if they aren't given anything to fight something like that in space.

At the same time, the drone didn't attack them directly. ]

How hard was it to destroy it? Did anyone get hurt?

[drivesadesk]

No one got hurt, but it might be better to ask Odin and Riptide how hard it was to destroy. I didn't really see most of the fight because I was busy getting space suits for everyone, in case we had a hull breach, then I went to get some tools I brought.

You mentioned you were able to salvage some parts of it. Did the government or anyone ask you to hand them over?

No. Not yet, anyway.

So you just discovered and fought an unknown drone from who knows where and nobody is demanding for it to be locked down and studied. [ aha. ]

Well, then it won't be that much of a problem to share drone parts, I suppose. Do you think you can bring me some to study, Jonathan-san? I know some imPorts who could try to figure out where that came from.

Pretty much.

Yeah, well, we won't be in space for too much longer.

Would you prefer to stay up there? [ since, well - Jonathan is an alien right? ]

Nah. I mean, it's nice being able to get off planet, but it's not like I can go anywhere exciting with Earth technology.

Except now you may, with this new discovery.

Well, that depends on where this drone came from. If it's alien, then maybe. If not...

The Porter says there is no alien life in this galaxy. [ but who knows what is going on in other galaxies ]

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Which means my species doesn't exist in this universe.

[Which wasn't the point, but still...]

But yeah, it's pretty suspicious. It could have come from Earth. If it came from another galaxy...even my people couldn't make something that could travel that far.

Unless they have a Porter. [ because, after all... there is still a Porter out there in another universe ]

Yeah. I guess that's possible.
